Good music is not purely heard; it is an immersive, deep-rooted feeling. Whether it be the funky, beats-infused hip-hop tunes or a deep throbbing bass, music is a way to escape, express, inspire, and to fully intoxicate your mind, body, and soul with mindful sonic vibrations.

SONIDOS is a creative production agency that creates stimulating experiences and content to evolve and transcend one's senses and essence.

We are driven by a passion for music discovery, intention, conscious living, & creative expression that goes beyond the bounds of what is typically experienced. we pursue the effort to evolve one another with the soul-touching ability of sound, art, and self-realization in order to reach our rooted, most genuine self.

/ concept /

THE PRESENCE OF ORGANIC ELEMENTS AND TECHNOLOGY WORKING IN TANDEM WITH ONE ANOTHER PLAYS A CRITICAL ROLE IN OUR HUMANITY; BEING AWARE ENOUGH TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND BALANCE THE DUALITY IN PERFECTLY PERCEIVED HARMONY TAKES DEVOTION IN UNDERSTANDING OUR ANCESTRAL PURPOSE AND INNOVATIVE NATURE.

iN ALIGNMENT WITH SIKU “That duality is reflected [IN thE record WITH] the coming together of sounds, whether electronic or organic, past or present, local or global,” IT IS A REPRESENTATION OF A HARMONIC UNDERSTANDING THAT BRINGS THE OLD AND THE NEW AT PEACE WITH ONE ANOTHER.

THIS INTENTION IS SHOWCASED WITHIN THE INSTALLATION BY BRINGING NATURAL MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGY THAT WILL REPRESENT THE SYNERGISTIC RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO.

/ DESIGN /

scenic ELEMENTS

fluorescent green acrylic: this material will be a representation of inorganic material used and developed further within our humanity. It will also be an aesthetically pleasing visual element that is vibrant when spotlit with blue or UV light.

brick/cement facade: this material will indicate a structural, pyramid perception.

moss: moss has a sacred, everlasting breath to it; it lives beyond and in tandem with many elements. Utilizing this material along the brick/cement facade will showcase the existence of differing elements and their harmonious presence.

BAMBOO STICKS: in order to remain aligned with the album artwork, bamboo or other similar long, thin wooden sticks can used.

HANDS: SCULPTURES can be fabricated with mirrors in order to reflect; see example of a local chicago artist’s sculpture

floral: in order to represent the african and south american influence in siku, bird of paradise (south american native), protea (african native), and palms (native to both) can be utilized within the design

bamboo planters: the pattern will be further representation of the PREVALENCE of INDIGENOUS culture within nicola cruz’s sonic creations. This pattern can potentially be incorporated within the bamboo sticks as well.

*additional scenic elements to consider: Astroturf, moss, and scarce floral/weeds on the entire stage floor

VISUALS

• glitchy, nature and anthropological visuals depicted initially that will evolve with the timeline of our humanity, then return to our ancestral depiction.

LIGHTING

Floor/Backlighting for Artist: this will provide more of a silhouette with focus on the sounds, scenic elements, and visuals

Fixed spotlights for the back brick facade: this will ensure the fluorescent green acrylic will be vibrant and will illuminate the entire facade without washing out the visuals

FIXED SPOTLIGHT FOR THE FRONT OF THE DJ BOOTH: will also ensure visibility of facade and it’s elements

Fog machine: throughout the entire stage floor
